2001
The beginnings of CenterTools

Founded by Udo Riedel and Mike Prieskorn as a consulting company with a focus on infrastructure and IT.

Consulting and development projects in the areas of infrastructure and Server 2000 implementation.

Offices in Ludwigsburg and Munich as the starting point of our success story.

2003
The birth of DriveLock as a product

DriveLock is born out of an innovative customer project with Gelsen Wasser(werke).

Software solution revolutionizes the way USB port security is handled. Instead of gluing USB ports, the software solution could now be used. The forerunner of today's DC was born.

Exclusive partnership with NETIQ Consulting for system monitoring and user provisioning.

A decisive step into the world of software distribution.

2005
Software sales are growing

UBM became the first sales partner

Increased customer demand for features such as encryption and ALF (Application Launch Filter) results in the development of today's AC as a counterpart to classic AV.

The team is further expanded and the transformation from consulting to software vendor begins.

2008
The breakthrough in hard disk encryption

Initial demand for hard disk encryption leads to new product category.

OEM partnership with Safenet sets a milestone with the Protect Drive product

First enterprise customer is acquired: HUK

2011
Emerging growth and expansion

Protect Drive passes into our hands and becomes the foundation of File Protection.

Important customers acquired: Deutsche Bahn, Commerzbank, Hesse Police and others.

The course is set for global growth and the team grows to over 30 employees

2017
DriveLock SE - A new chapter

With Nordwind at our side, we are starting a new chapter as DriveLock SE.

Concentration of forces in Munich, with a clear focus as a software vendor.

Anton Kreuzer takes the helm and ushers in an era of innovation and progress.

Anton Kreuzer joins the company as CEO.

2018
Development is set up for the future

The entire development team in Filderstadt moves from Heat/Frontrange to DriveLock.

2019
Pioneer in technology

Market launch of innovative cloud solutions and web consoles.

Expansion of the product portfolio to include SA, Vulc Scan, Bitlocker & Defender Management

DriveLock establishes itself as an OEM provider, ready for future challenges in cyber security.

Change of leadership for the future

Arved succeeds Anton Kreuzer and continues our legacy with new dynamism.
