The EAL3+ certification is a Common Criteria security assessment that ensures that an IT product or system has been developed in a moderate threat environment and that the security functions have been comprehensively tested. This level, Evaluation Assurance Level 3 (EAL3), supplemented by the plus (+), means that additional security tests have been carried out above and beyond the standard requirements.
