In corporate environments Information storage is getting more centralized while individual employees and departments expect access to this data that's tailored to their specific needs. Most off-the-shelf software is not suited to meet such needs. Software must be able to adapt to the specific needs of a company and even the specific needs of certain employees. CenterTools was founded as an IT services company that can provide customized software solutions to meet such requirements. These roots still show in the solutions that CenterTools offers today, especially its flagship product, DriveLock. Every aspect of it shows that CenterTools understands how important it is that software adjusts to way you work, not the other way around.
CenterTools was founded in 1999 to develop customer-specific solutions for companies. In 2000 it incorporated as a limited liability company (GmbH) in Ludwigsburg, Germany. To offer fast and flexible service for our customers in southern Germany, we opened our Munich branch a year later. In the meantime we added offices in Switzerland and North America and are represented by a worldwide partner network. The skill sets of the company's founders, Mike Prieskorn and Udo Riedel, are very complementary and for the basis of a well-rounded team. Mike Prieskorn is in charge of most business operations, while Udo Riedel is primarily in charge of product development. The CenterTools team also includes a number of other individuals who are technically competent and have the right personality to provide excellent customer service.

CenterTools provides software solutions that adjust to customer needs. Most improvments in our DriveLock software are a direct outgrowth of customer requests and suggestions. The result is a security solution that has been designed from the beginning to provide maximum flexibility. We believe that it's important to listen to customer requirements and to understand the environment their IT staff operates in. We need to understand the many challenges that both management and IT personnel face every day to create solutions that work within this environment without increasing complexity or workload. Based on the feedback from our customers we believe that we have been successful in doing this. We continue to believe in the same philosophy and customers feedback is still the most important influence on our product design.

CenterTools maintains partnerships with leading vendors to ensure quality and compatibility of our products and to provide competent and timely technical support to our customers. Such partnerships also help us remain up-to-date on the technologies and products that our solutions have to work with. We often get opportunities to evaluate new technologies and products before they arrive on the market.
